A-MAX Auto Insurance Partners with Drive Clean Texas to Sponsor Roadcents App

PR Newswire

DALLAS, July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A-MAX Auto Insurance, a premier affordable insurance provider for thousands of residents in Texas, announces today a unique partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation's (TxDOT) statewide Drive Clean Texas Initiative.

Together, A-MAX and Drive Clean Texas will raise awareness about the benefits of environmentally conscious, safe, and cost-effective vehicles on Texas roadways with the Roadcents web app. Roadcents is a web app that helps drivers track vehicle maintenance, set service reminders, find nearby service stations, get roadside safety tips, and save money on gas. It was developed to help educate Texas drivers that by doing these things, they can help reduce vehicle emissions and save money.

The partnership will support one of the goals of A-MAX's MAXRespect Initiative, to show respect for the environment. Respect for the environment is one pillar of the MAXRespect Initiative, a long-term effort by one of the most successful insurance companies in Texas, to help build better communities for its customers.

"By working with TxDOT's Drive Clean Texas campaign, we are sharing cost-effective ways that show care and concern for the environment and everyone," says Irshad Meherally, Director at A-MAX Auto Insurance. "We are encouraging drivers to keep their cars in shape and take simple steps that will keep our air clean."

By leveraging a variety of marketing and grassroots tactics, such as A-MAX's Customer Appreciation days, PSA's and co-branded social media messages, A-MAX and Drive Clean Texas will inform more drivers about the benefits of taking care of our environment.

Drive Clean Texas: Started in 2001, the Texas Department of Transportation launched the statewide Drive Clean Texas initiative, with the goal of raising awareness about the impact of vehicle emissions on air quality and motivating drivers to take steps to help keep the air clean. The campaign's activities are concentrated during the hot summer months when ozone levels spike and in areas of the state that fail to meet, or come close to failing, federal air quality standards: Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Beaumont/Port Arthur, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Tyler, and Victoria.
