Westfield Insurance Announces New Agribusiness Blog
WESTFIELD CENTER, OH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/18/10 -- Westfield Insurance of Westfield Center, Ohio, has launched a new blog, Grains of Knowledge, focused on the farm and agribusiness industries. The blog is authored by the experts of Westfield Insurance's AgriBusiness Division.
Grains of Knowledge will be used as a direct line of communication and resource for Westfield, its independent agents, customers and members of the farming, agriculture and commercial agribusiness industries. Post topics include safety tips, news and trends, insurance needs, frequently asked questions and more.
Westfield Insurance was founded in 1848 as the Ohio Farmers Insurance Company to offer insurance protection to farmers. Since then, the company has specialized in farm insurance offerings while expanding to provide auto, home and business insurance, and served as a resource to the agriculture industry.
In addition to modern production farms, Westfield has specialized capabilities to write businesses that are one step removed from the farm, either providing services or processing yields. "This blog is an extension of Westfield's expertise in agribusiness and supports our corporate goals of sharing knowledge and building trust with our audiences," said Gary Christy, marketing and branding leader for Westfield Insurance.
Kristin Taylor, a contributing blog author and farm and commercial agribusiness underwriter at Westfield, grew up on her family's registered Jersey farm in Ohio. "My contributions speak directly to my passion for agriculture and my love for the dairy industry," said Taylor. "Our blog will provide valuable insight to online discussions regarding insurance solutions for farms and commercial agribusinesses."
