WINFertility® Launches New Program to Save Infertility Patients up to 40% off Costly Medications

PR Web

White Plains, NY (PRWEB) October 07, 2014

WINFertility® announces the launch of WINFertilityRx?, available to infertility patients across the US. Fertility drugs comprise 30 – 40% of the total cost of an IVF cycle and often 50% of an IUI cycle. A typical fertility medication package costs infertility consumers between $3,500 and $7,500, but can run as high as $10,000 for as many as a dozen different medications for each treatment cycle.

Medication Bundles? Equal Simple Cost Savings

Patients without fertility medication insurance coverage, or those who have exhausted this benefit can now save up to 40% off retail medication prices, often saving several hundreds of dollars on each Medication Bundle.

The WINFertilityRx Program bundles all the patient's required medications into a single package, enabling the patient to compare the total cost of the drugs required vs. 'shopping around' for individual prices on the various medications.

Financing options are available to help patients pay for medications over time, making treatment even more manageable.

24/7 Fertility Nurse Support

WINFertilityRx? offers patients 24/7 access to FertilityCoach? Nurses for advice and support throughout the treatment journey. Medications are distributed exclusively through Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy with FREE Express Next Day Delivery 6 days a week to the 50 United States. A Fertility Order Review (FOR) is conducted by fertility nurses to review medications, supplies, administration and storage instructions, keeping patients stress-free.

No Participation Criteria. Just Real Savings. Every Day.

"We know that fertility medications are often a 'hidden cost' of treatment for patients who undergo IUI and IVF treatments and pay out-of-pocket. It is frequently a big surprise for them to learn about the all the expensive medications that are required for successful treatment", said Dr. Russell Amico, President of WINFertility. "There are periodic fertility medication discount offerings in the marketplace today however, the WINFertilityRx Program does not require any age or financial criteria, there are no membership or enrollment fees to participate, no unreliable membership cards to produce and there are no lengthy application forms that fertility practices have to complete in order to have a patient qualify for the discounts". According to Amico, "Patients may be unaware that while a pharmacy may offer a discount on one particular medication, the other drugs may have increased prices to compensate for that particular discount. The WINFertilityRx program provides real discounts and real savings on the total cost of medications, every day".

"For the one in every eight US couples struggling with infertility, the cost of treatment and medication remains a significant obstacle in their path to parenthood", commented Barbara Collura, Executive Director of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association,"Patients need to talk to their medical team about financing options that might work for them and arm themselves with information. They can then make informed decisions about how to proceed with their family building journey."
