Vital Imaging, Inc. Acquires Official IRB

Burbank, CA (PRWEB) June 29, 2011

Vital Imaging, Inc. is quickly becoming one of the leading privately held research facilities in the country working with such premier institutions as UCLA, UCSD and US Navy. These beneficial partnerships are enabling Vital to rapidly advance on its path toward excellence in research. UCLA School of Medicine has authorized its newest IRB for human research to the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey Wang, Chief of Orthopedic Spine Surgery. Dr. Wang and his team will be conducting research in unison with Dr. Sana Khan, Chief Medical Officer of Vital Imaging. Previous research projects between Dr. Khan and Dr. Wang have resulted in the publication of over fifteen articles in various medical journals. The approval of this latest IRB allows for multiple projects to be conducted concurrently. This IRB authorization secures the prospect for further research into the weight bearing MRI field.

Dr. Jeffery Wang is the Chief of Spine Surgery and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Neurology at one of the best medical institutions in the United States, the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Wang specializes in providing surgical treatment for neck and back disorders. Being a leader in spine care has afforded Dr. Wang the ability to operate a cutting-edge science laboratory, specializing in treating spinal disorders. Writing professional articles and presenting in front of national audiences has further enhanced Dr. Wang’s reputation as one of our country’s most respected physicians. Dr. Wang holds multiple leadership roles in nationally esteemed medical associations such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the Cervical Spine Research Society.

“Dr. Wang’s research in Orthopedics and Neurology is groundbreaking, and we are thrilled to work with him and UCLA School of Medicine to further advance the field of diagnostic imaging,“ states Chief Medical Officer, Sana U. Khan, M.D., Ph. D. As one of the nation’s most accomplished radiologists, Dr. Sana U. Khan has established some of the country’s most advanced medical diagnostic centers. Utilizing the Upright, Kinetic MRI™, Dr. Khan is an expert in accurate diagnoses of musculoskeletal injuries. In addition to his impressive radiology expertise, Dr. Khan also has extensive experience in the medical-legal side of work-related injuries. Moreover, Dr. Khan is the Chief Medical Officer for Global Holdings, Inc. where he guides the Company’s vision of utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to provide patients with the most advanced service available in the medical technology industry.

Recently, Vital Imaging has made several noteworthy equipment purchases. Vital has placed an order for multiple DynaWell® weight bearing devices. The purpose of these new Dynawell machines is for providing weight bearing imaging in its traditional 1.0 and 1.5T scanners. Additionally, Vital is pleased to announce the purchase of DR (Digital) X-ray units for its sites to provide our referring physicians with state-of-the-art imaging performance and web based image delivery. These significant purchases are furthering Vital’s goal of providing absolute accurate diagnoses of the patient’s injury. Furthermore, these new equipment purchases will benefit patients, doctors, attorneys, insurance companies, and the courts.

Vital Imaging primarily serves the medical-legal community where it brings state-of-the art equipment and focuses on detailed pathology reports which incorporate impairment factors based on the AMA Guides. The Company’s goal is to provide accurate and objective date to all parties involved. Most important is helping the injured patients get good treatment and a fair and expeditious conclusion of their case.
