Tampa Shriners Hospital Big Winner in Regal Settlement Group Charitable Golf Outing
September 7, 2010 - Lutz, Florida - Over $2,400 was raised on behalf of the Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children during the August 29 Regal Settlement Group Charitable Golf Outing with the help of NASCAR legend Bill Wimble.
The event, open to all life insurance and financial professionals, was held at the TPC of Tampa Bay course and included 38 golfers. While the Shriners Hospital was the real winner at the event, the winning golfers included the first place team with a score of 57 featuring Tina Fontain, Nelson Kelly, Renee Brooks, and Mike King. Mr. King also won the “Closest to the Pin” contest and Steve Lowie was the winner of the “Long Drive Contest.”
Celebrity golfer and New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame driver, Bill Wimble said, “It is wonderful to enjoy a golf outing with a great group of people from the Regal Settlement Group and at the same time, to be able to assist in such a worthy cause as the Shriners Hospital.”
Frank Goldston represented the Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children. Goldston spoke at dinner providing a brief history of the organization which is a 60-bed pediatric hospital, research and teaching center providing comprehensive medical, surgical and rehabilitative care to children with orthopedic conditions. “We are very grateful to Regal Settlement Group,” Goldston said. “Regal sets a great example for how the business community can support area organizations such as the Shriners Hospital.”
