Study IDs The Principal Challenges For Insurance Agents

Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) May 29, 2013

Agent Link, a leading full-service marketing and public relations firm serving insurance agents and insurance marketers, has completed a new market research study aimed at identifying the most prevalent issues for insurance agents in today’s marketplace.

“We were incredibly excited to identify the principal challenges of agents,” states Stu Gramajo, CEO and Co-Founder of Agent Link. “This study will have far-reaching benefits in helping IMOs, FMOs, brokerage firms, insurance carriers, insurance agents and many others in the field with their marketing.”

In addition to questions regarding challenges in the current industry, agents were also asked how insurance carriers and brokerage firms could offer them the most support. The vast majority of agents who completed the survey were independent as opposed to captive, with the greatest number of individuals selling life insurance, health insurance and/or annuities.

By focusing on market research and extracting the needs of insurance agents from their research, Agent Link is able to provide valuable information for marketing campaigns to insurance entities who recruit quality agents and to agents who want to grow their business. Agent Link specializes in helping IMOs, FMOs, MGAs, insurance carriers, vendors and agents with their marketing efforts.

The Director of Broker Relations at an insurance marketing organization comments on Agent Link’s specialized service supported by thorough market research: “We had a handful of agents qualify for our most exclusive program that came directly from [Agent Link’s] company/program. These agents were $1 million-plus in production. Since the event they have elected to move their business to us. A win-win for both!”

In Agent Link’s market research, nearly 40% of agents said that their production was better in 2012 as opposed to in 2011, with 12%—the highest proportion of that group—stating that the rise in production was attributed to an increase in promotion or marketing.

“The research says a lot about the power of marketing,” says Gramajo. “By becoming more involved in marketing initiatives, insurance agents saw an increase in their production. This shows that addressing agents’ marketing needs is vital on the part of carriers and brokerage firms.”

Agent Link completes market research at least once every quarter and largely attributes their success to utilizing those results in insurance marketing campaigns that involve initiatives such as email marketing to insurance agents and direct marketing to insurance agents.

“We look forward to incorporating the latest figures and findings to further strengthen our clients’ campaigns,” Gramajo summarizes.
