Speakers and Events Announced for 2011 AMBA Annual Medical Billing Conference

The American Medical Billing Association, an educational and professional association for medical billing professionals, recently announced 2011 Annual Conference Speakers and Events for their 11th Annual Conference. The conference, which is being held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas from October 13-14, 2011, will feature sessions with emphasis on compliance, technology, reimbursement, and regulation changes.

Keynote speaker, Timothy Kaja, Senior Vice President, Physician and Hospital Relationships, UnitedHealthCare, will focus on Administrative Simplification and the Changing Reimbursement Landscape -- An Industry Partnership, in which he will provide attendees with insight into the future of reimbursement models, the dynamics and cost of healthcare dollars, improving administrative costs as well as the latest on EDI transactions, which play a key role in the reimbursement process.

Following, Tammy Banks, Director of the Practice Management Center and Payment Advocacy at the American Medical Association (AMA), will address attendees on Grading the Insurance Companies and the AMA PATH to avoiding lost revenue and preparing for payer audits.

AMBA’s Outside General Compliance Counsel, Robert Liles, Esq., Liles Parker, will present a special Compliance session addressing key regulations that affect medical billers.

Cyndee Weston, AMBA's Executive Director, will present on How Billers can Reinvent Themselves in Today's Environment.
