Sigma Phi Epsilon Ohio Iota Fraternity Chapter at the University of Toledo Announces Mandula Challenge Fund Scholarship Award to Mahmoud Awad

The Ohio Iota Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Toledo announced today that has awarded a Mandula Challenge Fund Scholarship to Mahmoud Awad, Fairview Park, Ohio, an undergraduate member of Ohio Iota Sigma Phi Epsilon. This Scholarship is one of the unprecedented nine Scholarships recently awarded for outstanding Academic achievement at Ohio Iota Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Toledo. The Scholarships include awards from the Balanced Man Scholarship, Bensman Scholarship and Mandula Challenge Funds. No other Greek organization has the scope or depth of the Scholarships available to deserving Undergraduates as does Ohio Iota at the University of Toledo.

He is planning to graduate spring 2014 with a Major in Pharmacy. He hopes to work at a hospital pharmacy where he would have closer interaction with patients. He is currently on Executive Committee of Ohio Iota Sigma Phi Epsilon as Vice President of Member Development and was in attendance at the Annual Sigma Phi Epsilon National Conclave this past summer. Ohio Iota Sigma Phi Epsilon was awarded The Buchanan Cup, an award for outstanding chapter performance. It is bestowed every two years for chapters excelling in all areas of chapter operations and leadership including volunteer support, recruitment, member development, academics, fiscal health and faculty engagement. The most recent Buchanan Cup marks the sixth time The University of Toledo Ohio Iota Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has won a Buchanan Cup.
