PwC Recognized with Two Rising Stars of the Profession Awards by Consulting Magazine

NEW YORK, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced that two U.S. Advisory directors, Amanda Cox and Emily Kent, have received Consulting magazine's "Rising Stars of the Profession" award, which recognizes 35 of the most outstanding talent under the age of 35 in the consulting industry. Cox was honored for her accomplishments in the Financial Services category and Kent was recognized for her achievements in the Client Service category.

At PwC since 2007, Cox has helped drive strategic growth initiatives for financial services leadership, including initiatives to grow the Chicago market, regulatory compliance capabilities and vendor risk management offerings. She is also widely known at PwC for her mentoring and client service abilities.

Since joining PwC in 2010, Kent's career progression has been rapid.  Her 2012 promotion to director within Advisory's Forensic Services reflected the considerable contribution she has made in providing high quality services to her clients and the development of her people. She is currently the lead director on a large Forensic Services project for PwC, coordinating a team of 150 people.

"I can honestly say that I love going to work every day," said Kent. "I thrive in the high pressure and fast-paced lifestyle that a consulting career offers because it constantly challenges me. I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most intelligent and hardworking colleagues and clients in the industry and am very grateful for that.  I am honored to be among this year's Rising Stars of the Profession."

Cox graduated from Radford University'sCollege of Business and Economics, with a degree in finance, and University of Notre Dame'sMendoza College of Business, with an Executive MBA. Kent graduated from James Madison University'sCollege of Business, with a degree in finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
