Police charge man with meth, prostitution

Jan. 27--MOULTRIE -- Moultrie police arrested a Moultrie man on prostitution and drug charges Saturday in an investigation targeting the advertising of sexual services on the Internet.

Justin Cedric Suber, 30, 2359 Hwy. 37 E. Lot 5, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and prostitution after he showed up at an arranged rendezvous point on North Veterans Parkway, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

"An undercover police officer solicited for sexual acts and met him in the parking lot of a local business," said Sgt. Daniel Lindsay of the department's Crime Suppression Unit. Police found Suber on an "online social media site and we answered an ad that was posted and received a response."

It was the second time this year Moultrie police have arrested alleged prostitutes who advertised for sex.

At the time of the arrest, Suber had about a gram and a half of methamphetamine that would sell for about $150, Lindsay said.

At the time of his arrest, Suber was on the Georgia Sex Offender Registry for a 2002 conviction on a charge of statutory rape.

He also served about 19 months in prison on a 2005 conviction for aggravated stalking in Thomas County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. Suber was released from prison in October 2010.

--Johnny James Chester, 39, 161 Chapman Road, was charged Friday with financial transaction card fraud, forgery and theft of lost or mislaid property.

--John Fitzgerald Jones, 26, 3312 Old Adel Road Lot 1, was charged Saturday with possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule III substance and using a communication device to facilitate a felony.

--Yasmine Mequize Osby, 19, 609 10th Ave. N.W. Apt. C, and Nikki Keel, 27, 619 Third Ave. S.W., were charged Friday with disorderly conduct.

--Devin Tremane Blunt, 21, 2821 Sylvester Drive, was charged Friday with failure to appear.

--Shaun Dewayne Burks, 316 First Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with driving while license withdrawn and defective equipment.

--Christopher Shane Partain, 26, 3354 U.S. Hwy. 319 N., and Jayme Cooper, 19, 3354 U.S. Hwy. 319 N., were each charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.

Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway N., reported that Partain and Cooper concealed merchandise valued at $242 in a book bag and went outside without paying for it.

--Audriana Shuntrell Hawkins, 21, 550 27th St. S.E. Apt. 6, was charged Sunday with theft by shoplifting.

--John Willie Allen, 61, 920 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

--Latoya Chester, 36, 401 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Apt. J, was charged Friday with financial transaction card fraud, forgery and theft of lost or mislaid property.

--Jasmine Wynette Harrison, 23, 811 Seventh St. S.E., was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana and improper tag display.

--Janet David, 37, 2616 Seventh St. S.E. Apt. B, was charged Saturday with no insurance and driving while tag suspended.

--Jeff Douglas Tucker, 46, 12 McDonald Court. Apt. C, was charged Sunday with no insurance and expired tag or decal.

--Rigoberto Galvin, 21, 303 Pine Drive, was charged Sunday with no driver's license and tail lights required.

--Freddie Lee Hadley Jr., 49, 9 Fourth Ave. N.W. Apt. A, was charged Sunday with probation violation.

--Kotera Jovane Fuller, 29, 909 Second Ave., was charged Friday with probation violation.

--Brian Keith Cauley Jr., 30, 3060 E. McDonald St., Pavo, was charged Wednesday with theft by taking and two counts of possession of firearms by convicted felons or first-time probationers.

--Maria Delrosario Vega, 32, 147 Lisa Lane, was charged Sunday with driving while license withdrawn and speeding.

--Angel Gonzalez, 21, 3312 Old Adel Road Lot 2, was charged Saturday with battery.

--Robert Wesley Hutchinson, 530 Dry Lake Road, Boston, was charged Saturday with driving while license suspended and defective equipment.

Burglary

Moultrie Police

--Officers responding to a burglary call at 9:10 p.m. at the Golden Apple, 606 Fifth Ave. S.E., were told that a man tried to open a front window.

The man left before police arrived. The case is under further investigation.

Sheriff's Office

--Judy Herndon, 400 block Dunn Road, reported Friday the theft of a PlayStation 3 console and games, Sanyo and Element flat-screen televisions, acoustic guitar and stand, compound bow, Pioneer car subwoofer and Dell laptop computer.

The estimated value of the property is $2,551.

--Breanna Weathers, 600 block Tallokas Road, reported Sunday the theft of a cast iron heather, propane tank and heater and whatnot shelf with a total value of $240 from a residence in the 300 block of Weathers Road.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

--Josh Perry, 1100 block First Street Southeast, reported Sunday that a 2002 Ford LGT and 2003 Saturn were entered overnight, with a tool bag and tools worth a total of $333 stolen.

--Michaelyn Blackwell, 48, Moultrie, reported Sunday the theft of seven newspapers valued at 75 cents each from a paper rack in the 500 block of Veterans Parkway South.

--Lajoye Waldon, 400 block Seventh Street Northwest, reported Saturday the theft of a bag and school books worth a total of $500.

--Nathaniel Walker, 300 block Ninth Street Southeast, reported Sunday the theft of $1 out of a 2000 Buick LeSabre.

--Miguel Orozco, 1600 block Old Camilla Highway, reported Saturday the theft of 40 Balecord pine straw bale cords valued at $800.

--Donna Padgett, 47, Moultrie, reported Saturday the theft of prescription medications valued at $29 out of a 1996 Geo Prizm in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway South.

Sheriff's Office

--Curtis Woodard, 3000 block Ellenton-Omega Road, reported Friday the theft of a scrap freezer and other scrap metal.

Woodard told police that it looked as if someone tried to pull his old Dodge Durango truck out of his yard because it had been moved. The value of the stolen property was unknown.

--Michael Tyson, 1700 block South Boulevard, reported Friday the theft of a Brew 5-foot-by-8-foot trailer valued at $500 from the 100 block of Culbertson Road.

--Kenneth Duke, 500 block Tree Farm Road, reported Sunday the theft of property that belonged to a deceased relative.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

--Shawn Fender, 500 block 27th Street Southeast, reported Sunday that someone threw eggs at a 1984 Toyota pickup truck.

--Enoch Squires reported Friday that someone hit his 2011 Toyota Rav4 as he was driving at about 10 p.m. on South Main Street.

Squires told police that he turned around but could not catch the other driver.

Sheriff's Office

--Betty Jean Leavine, 100 block Weeks Avenue, Norman Park, reported Saturday that a male relative threw a coffee cup to the floor and broke a screen door by kicking it.

Leavine told police that the man became angry when she asked to use his cell telephone to make a call.

Other investigations

Moultrie Police

--An anonymous caller reported gunshots fired at 9:38 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Second Street Northwest.

--Brian Thomas, 500 block 26th Avenue Southeast, reported Saturday that while he was gone someone came onto his back porch.

Thomas told police that he found several empty beer cans and an ashtray filled with cigarette butts that were not there when he left.

Sheriff's Office

--Hal Suber, 1100 block Doc Darbyshire Road, reported Thursday that his debit card account was used to charge fraudulent charges of $1,782 at a Florida Walmart and several other places.

--Jimmy Ponder, 100 block Magnolia Avenue, reported Saturday that five dogs went into a pen and attacked his goats, killing one, maiming one and injuring three others.

Ponder shot one of the dogs and two others were picked up by the Humane Society of Moultrie-Colquitt County. Ponder told police that he is concerned that children could be attacked by the large number of dogs roaming the neighborhood.
