Orchestra Networks Delivers EBX5, the Next Generation of Multidomain MDM Designed for Business Users
New 100% Web-based Product Provides Business Users and Data Stewards with a Single Solution that Delivers Enterprise Master Data Management and Governance Capabilities
According to market research conducted by Orchestra Networks, companies considering MDM initiatives are focused on three key attributes: 1) full business user ownership of the initiative; 2) true multidomain MDM; and 3) a single, end-to-end MDM solution.
EBX5 was developed to meet the needs of business users and give them total control of all MDM features including modeling and governance definition. It is 100% web-based and offers a user-centered experience similar to web mail. This capability results in increased levels of user adoption, rapid deployment and faster
Designed as a true model-driven MDM software solution, the product’s unique “What You Model Is What You Get” approach allows users to define data objects, quality rules and business dictionaries and then see the results in the EBX5 User Interface (UI) and Dataservices. With its data modeling capabilities, the EBX5 multidomain solution can be applied to any type of master data including: products, assets, parties, financial hierarchies, human resources or any reference table and hierarchy.
EBX5 delivers all enterprise MDM capabilities in a single software product and only requires simple user training. Users can control the complete life cycle of their master data including: data modeling, data quality, data management, data governance, data lineage and data integration. All EBX5 product features are available in a single engine and offer a consistent Web UI.
“The Orchestra Networks solution provides for enterprise-wide proactive data governance at a business level,” commented
As part of the EBX5 release, Orchestra Networks has also launched solutions for three business function areas: Finance & Accounting, Human Resources and Sales & Marketing.
- MDM for Finance & Accounting(F&A) Finance & Accounting teams work with master data types including: General Ledger Accounts, cost centers, organizational hierarchies and assets. F&A’s contribution to master data across the enterprise is significant and supports mergers and acquisitions, F&A centralization, standards and regulations compliance and cross-functional collaboration. EBX5 provides F&A teams with these capabilities: hierarchy management, version control, built-in workflow, role-based security, auditing and lineage.
- MDM for Human Resources (HR) Human Resources teams work with master data types including: employee master, organizational structures and HR reference codes. HR teams are constantly challenged to deliver more HR services, support merger and acquisition activities, manage HR outsourcing, adapt to local markets and regulations, analyze Business Intelligence (BI), and provide cross-functional collaboration. EBX5 supports HR teams with: hierarchy management, version control, built-in workflow, role-based security, auditing and lineage.
- MDM for Sales & Marketing Sales & Marketing teams work with master data types including: products and services, territories, parties and locations. To remain competitive, teams must get products to market faster, improve BI, support channel synchronization and allow cross-functional collaboration. EBX5 provides Sales & Marketing teams with: data & rules modeling, hierarchy management with inheritance, change management & approvals and version control.
“In the past MDM solutions were typically owned and governed by the IT organization,” commented Christophe Barriolade, president and CEO at Orchestra Networks. “As business users have evolved into ‘power’ users of MDM, the collaboration between the business, data stewards and IT has become critically important. EBX5 was designed to support their requirements for an end-to-end solution that’s easy-to-use, provides strong data governance capabilities and is extensible across the enterprise.”
Orchestra Networks was recently positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management of Product Data*.
