Officers busy with arrests in Mingo County

Nov. 29--WILLIAMSON -- As the holiday seasons fast approach crime seems to also be accelerating, keeping officers from several divisions on their toes as they strive to stay ahead of the game.

Loretta Cline, 41, of Oak Street in Williamson, was placed under arrest by Williamson Patrolman Bert Gibson on charges of burglary, petit larceny and conspiracy.

Shawna Fay Bailey, 29, of W. 4th Avenue in Williamson, faces charges of destruction of property after she was taken into custody by Williamson Police Chief Barry Blair and Patrolman Gibson.

Clinton Danny Chafins, age unknown, of Hanover, was arrested on charges of petit larceny by Mingo County Sheriff's Department (MCSD) Deputy R. Fitch and Gilbert Police Chief M. Rassmussen.

Ricky Lee Moore, 42, of Delbarton, was charged with domestic battery, fleeing -- no vehicle, destruction of property and obstruction after being arrested by MCSD Lt. J. Ferris and Col. P. Muncy.

John Paul Vance, 59, of Delbarton, was arrested and charged with 2nd offense DUI, driving on a revoked license for reasons of DUI, no proof of insurance, no registration and failure to wear a seatbelt by West Virginia State Police Trooper D.M. Williamson.

Lavada Shrum, 41, of Ruth Trace Rd., was arrested by MCSD Chief Field Deputy Joe Smith and Deputy E. Williams on charges of computer fraud and obtaining goods under false pretenses.

Jimmy J. Adkins, of Betsy Lane, Ky., was charged with 2nd offense DUI, defective equipment and no proof of insurance following his arrest by WVSP Trooper J.R. Tupper and Trooper T.G. Kania III.

James McDonald, 22, of Delbarton, was taken into custody by WVSP Trooper D.M. Williamson on charges of domestic battery.

Jerry Campanella, 41, of McCarr, Ky., was arrested by WVSP Trooper J.J. Dean III and was charged with expired registration, expired MVI and driving on a revoked license for reasons of DUI.

These defendants will be required to appear in Mingo County Magistrate Court in the near future to face these alleged charges.
