Nicole S. Jones Named General Counsel for Lincoln Financial Group
PHILADELPHIA, May 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) today announced that it has named Nicole S. Jones Senior Vice President and General Counsel effective May 24, 2010. Jones will serve as the chief legal officer of the corporation and will oversee all Law, Compliance, Corporate Secretary and Federal Relations activities for Lincoln Financial as well as provide strategic counsel to the Board of Directors and senior management. She will report directly to President and CEO and will sit on the company's Senior Management Committee.

Jones comes to Lincoln Financial from CIGNA Corporation, where she served as Deputy General Counsel, Chief Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to CIGNA, Jones served in progressively responsible positions for Johnson & Johnson; Davis Polk & Wardwell; MCI; and International Paper Corporation. She holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy from Fordham University.
