New Edward Jones office is now open in Villages at Woodside [Aiken Standard, S.C.]
July 23--It's not the money, it's the person.
That's what Edward Jones and, more specifically, Scott Singer believes. And that's the way he plans to do business at his new Edward Jones office in the Villages at Woodside.
Singer marked the grand opening of his office Thursday with a promise to offer a "holistic" approach to the financial adviser-client relationship.
Whether a person entrusts him to invest $500 or 10 times that, the key is to find out what best fits the client, he said.
"We look at the person and really get to know our clients," Singer said. "I am excited to be opening an Edward Jones office in Aiken because I really see a need for the type of service we provide. This firm concerns itself exclusively with the needs of individual investors and small-business owners, and I'm happy to be bringing that kind of personalized service to this community."
Singer, whose professional background is in banking and risk management/investing, can provide a range of financial services to his clients -- everything from annuities, estate considerations, equity investments, fixed-income investments, IRAs, insurance and more.
A solid strategy is a must, especially during the current economic recession, he said.
"We will develop a strategy and stick to the strategy and not get caught up in the emotion of the day," Singer said.
Singer has a MBA from the University of South Carolina and worked for the U.S. Department of Treasury as a bank examiner and in local banks for 15 years.
Edward Jones has more than 10,000 offices, including seven in Aiken, and 7 million clients.
The full strength of the Edward Jones team is behind every client, Singer said.
"They are a partnership. Edward Jones is a team, and its business model fosters relationships," he added.
The office is located at 230 Village Green Blvd., Suite 110, off Silver Bluff Road and can be reached at 642-7486.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
