Manty & Associates is proud to announce the addition of a new attorney to the firm. Mychal Bruggeman recently joined Manty & Associates to focus on financial litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' remedies and banking.

Bruggeman has gained valuable experience in prior positions at the United States Department of Justice and a larger Minneapolis commercial law firm. He arrives at Manty & Associates having already served as lead counsel in cases before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, as well as federal, state and bankruptcy courts in Minnesota and throughout the country.

As lead counsel, Bruggeman has conducted trials and evidentiary hearings and has argued and conducted more than 100 hearings and depositions. With his extensive experience representing banks and his long-term involvement in the Risk Management Association, Bruggeman rounds out his practice by counseling financial institutions on a wide array of matters.

Bruggeman received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and his law degree from the University of Minnesota. His practice areas include Bankruptcy, Fraudulent Transfers and Preferences, Chapter 13 Lien Stripping Defense, Chapter 11 Secured Creditor Representation, Trustee and Receiver Representation, Financial Litigation, Defaulted Loans and Workouts and General Banking. He is also a member of the Risk Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the Bankruptcy Section of the Minnesota Bar Association.
