Mondial Assistance Wins National Travel Industry Award
RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Richmond-based travel insurance and assistance provider Mondial Assistance has been recognized by the travel industry’s most influential national trade publication for innovation in travel technology. Travel Weekly has presented the company with the silver Magellan Award in the Online Travel Services Category for its AgentMax travel agent software. Mondial Assistance is the only travel insurance company represented in this year’s crop of recipients.
The AgentMax desktop software program is designed to help travel agents access and present Mondial’s Access America® travel insurance quickly and easily and includes the ability to email, print and save quotes and confirmations. A forthcoming version of the software will also provide easy claims filing through a direct link, the ability to modify or cancel a policy directly from AgentMax, onscreen plan comparison and the ability to sell plans with add-ons within the same transaction.
The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards honor the best in travel and salute the outstanding travel professionals in a broad range of industry segments, including hotels and resorts, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agencies, tour operators, and car rental companies.
“We are pleased to be recognized by Travel Weekly for our contributions to helping travel agents remain effective, efficient and competitive in a tough marketplace,†said Beth Godlin, chief sales and marketing officer for Mondial Assistance USA. “And to be the only travel insurance company recognized is a great honor.â€
The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry. In determining winners, entries do not compete with one another, instead they are judged against a standard of excellence based on the long experience of Travel Weekly. To uphold this high standard of excellence, a category may have multiple winners, or may have no winners at all.
“This year’s Magellan Award winners represent the best in travel from design to marketing to services,†noted Arnie Weissmann, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly. He added, “On behalf of Travel Weekly, we’re proud to honor this year’s winners and are excited to recognize those at the forefront of the travel industry.â€
