MassMutual Retirement Services Launches Newest Version of Fiduciary Guide

PR Newswire Association LLC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MassMutual's Retirement Services Division is pleased to announce the launch of its newest Fiduciary Guide. Following a complete revision, the 2012 Guide serves as a detailed toolkit to help plan fiduciaries determine their status and understand their responsibilities.

Specifically, the guide helps fiduciaries:

  • Identify and undertake required actions,
  • Employ practical suggestions to keep their plan on track and fulfill their obligations,
  • Consider voluntary actions they can take to improve their plan and mitigate risk.

"Plan fiduciaries play the lead role in safeguarding the rights of plan participants," says Eric Leverson, assistant vice president with MassMutual Retirement Services. "With this important role, we want them to understand they are not alone when facing today's maze of regulatory requirements. MassMutual's ERISA Advisory Services team offers ready access to knowledge and experience fiduciaries can use to help effectively manage their retirement plans," adds Leverson.

The Fiduciary Guide is one of two companion pieces designed to help fiduciaries fulfill their responsibilities. The other, MassMutual's Fiduciary Calendar, is current with important deadlines and information on new requirements.

Visit www.massmutual.com/EAS to learn more. The revised Fiduciary Guide is available on MassMutual's Sponsor and Intermediary websites. If you do not have access to either site, contact MassMutual directly.

For more information about MassMutual Retirement Services, please contact your retirement plan advisor or call MassMutual at 1-866-444-2601.
