Liberty Lake woman forgot about expensive trip to casino

June 21--On June 13 a resident in the 24000 block of East Maxwell Avenue called the Liberty Lake Police Department to report that her car was damaged and had been stolen sometime during the night.

She also said she was missing $1,200 and three credit cards, said Police Chief Brian Asmus.

But an investigation showed that no crime occurred, Asmus said. The woman reportedly told police that she blacked out and forgot she drove to a local casino that night.

Other crimes reported from June 9 to 16.

June 9: A business in the 1200 block of North Liberty Lake Road reported that there was a woman there trying to gather signatures for a petition and was refusing to leave. After officers arrived she agreed to leave.

June 10: A resident near Sinto Avenue and Wright Boulevard reported that two teens were damaging an electrical box in the area. The teens were contacted and no damage was found.

A cut fence was reported in the 19000 block of East Broadway Avenue.

June 12: The theft of three televisions from inside a customer's RV was reported at a business in the 19000 block of East Cataldo Avenue.

June 13: A woman in the 1600 block of North Aladdin Road reported a television and an iPod missing. She told police that her garage door had been left unlocked.

June 15: A resident in the 1600 block of North Cirque Lane reported seeing a woman peeking into her backyard. The woman was gone when officers arrived.

Arrests: Police made three arrests for driving with a suspended license and one for driving under the influence.

Citations: Officers handed out three citations for speeding and one for failure to show proof of liability insurance.
