Sports and entertainment managing general agent K&K Insurance Group Inc. said its president and chief executive officer is retiring after six years at the company, capping off a 40-year career in the insurance industry.Ross T. Smith, president and CEO, said in a statement he's happy to "leave the company on a high note."Attempts to reach Smith for additional comment were not immediately successful.K&K is a subsidiary of Aon Corp., which is the largest broker ranked by 2008 brokerage revenue, according to Best's Review's ranking of top global brokers.Donald P. Koziol, interim CEO for K&K Insurance and president and CEO of the Aon Underwriting Managers group, said in a statement that Smith has provided leadership through a difficult economic period.Founded in 1952, K&K Insurance Group is a managing general underwriter offering more than 50 specialty insurance programs to the sports, leisure and entertainment industries.Shares of Aon Corp.
