Jackson® Promotes Two Senior Executives at Asset Management Unit
Jackson National Life Insurance Company® (Jackson) has announced two senior executive level promotions at Jackson National Asset Management LLC (JNAM) and Jackson Fund Services (JFS). JNAM is a registered investment adviser and subsidiary of Jackson that provides investment advisory and transfer agency services for Jackson's variable products, and JFS is a division of JNAM that provides fund accounting and administration services. Jackson promoted Mark Nerud, 43, to president and chief executive officer and Susan Rhee, 38, to senior vice president and general counsel of JNAM and Jackson Fund Services.</p>
Mr. Nerud previously served as president of JNAM and Jackson Fund Services and has been instrumental in the growth and evolution of both companies. With the addition of the chief executive officer role, he will assume responsibility for managing the strategic direction of the firms while overseeing investment management, business and product development, and operations. Prior to joining Jackson in 1996, Mr. Nerud was responsible for the fund administration and accounting of the Voyageur Funds at Voyageur Asset Management. He received a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
As senior vice president and general counsel for JNAM and JFS, Ms. Rhee will oversee all of the legal responsibilities related to Jackson's investment companies. Previously, Ms. Rhee served as assistant vice president and associate general counsel for Jackson and chief legal officer for JNAM. Prior to joining Jackson in 2001, she was an associate at Goldman, Sachs & Company's Wealth Management Division, where she was responsible for the division's compliance issues. Ms. Rhee was admitted to the New York Bar in 1998 and holds a Michigan corporate license. She received her bachelor's degree from Boston College in 1994 and her law degree from Pace University School of Law in 1997.
