Insurance Technologies announces the hire of Jim Ferrell as Vice President, Product Management for FireLight®, an electronic application platform

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, July 20, 2011 – Insurance Technologies, LLC, a provider of sales automation solutions for the financial services industry, announces the hire of Jim Ferrell as Vice President, Product Management for FireLight®, an electronic application platform. Mr. Ferrell’s responsibilities will include managing the strategic direction and roadmap for FireLight®, defining enhanced business functionality to ensure product alignment with client and industry needs.  He will also manage communications with industry standard organizations to help drive innovative industry standards.

Mr. Ferrell brings over 10 years of extensive strategic planning experience to Insurance Technologies. His insurance and technology industry experience includes business development activities, solution design, product management, and strategic distribution adoption planning.

Prior to joining Insurance Technologies, Mr. Ferrell held the position of Project Manager at Zurich Kemper Insurance and later held the position of VP Product Management at Aplifi (formerly Blue Frog Solutions). His roles at Zurich and Aplifi provided him the depth of experience to understand the business requirements of end users at the home office in order to manage successful product implementations for their distribution partners. Along with Mr. Ferrell’s industry experience, he participated in ACORD XML standards meetings and was involved with DTCC and IRI serving as an industry standards leader and consensus builder.
