Infinity Property and Casualty Holds Annual Meeting of Shareholders
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation (Nasdaq: IPCC) today announced that the shareholders re-elected the ten director nominees to the Board of Directors at today's Annual Shareholders' Meeting. Other actions taken at the Annual Meeting included the approval by the shareholders of the proposals to ratify the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as Infinity's independent registered public accounting firm, to approve the Annual Executive Bonus Plan and to approve the Second Amended and Restated 2008 Performance Share Plan.
Re-elected for one year terms were Teresa A. Canida, President of Taplin, Canida & Habacht LLC; Jorge G. Castro, CEO of Lombardia Capital Partners; James R. Gober, Chairman, CEO and President of Infinity; Harold E. Layman, retired CEO of Blount International, Inc.; Drayton Nabers, Jr., shareholder in the law firm of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C.; Samuel J. Simon, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Infinity; Roger Smith, Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Infinity; William Stancil Starnes, Chairman and CEO of ProAssurance Corporation; Gregory C. Thomas, retired CFO and Executive Vice President of Citicasters, Inc.; and Samuel J. Weinhoff, insurance industry consultant.
At the Board of Directors meeting immediately following the annual meeting of shareholders, the following individuals were elected to serve as officers for one year terms: Troy P. Ballard, Assistant Vice President and Assistant Treasurer; Mary Linn Clark, Assistant Vice President and Assistant Treasurer; Amy K. Jordan, Assistant Vice President, Investor Relations; Roger H. Prestridge, Controller and Assistant Treasurer; and James H. Romaker, Secretary and Associate General Counsel.
