Gunman robs Moultrie business

Dec. 12--MOULTRIE -- A robber armed with a gun made off with money and another pistol Wednesday during a daytime burglary of a Moultrie business.

The gunman entered Nash Insurance Co. at about 10:20 a.m. and pointed a gun at an employee, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

The total value of the money and .32-caliber Iver Johnson revolver was $275.

Arrests

Moultrie Police

--Eric Robert Clausen, 26, 1419 12th St. S.E., was charged Thursday with driving while license suspended.

--Scott Millard Bivins, 30, Copeland Road, Berlin, was charged Wednesday with suspended tag, no insurance and seat belt violation.

--Adarious Tarion Walker, 22, 419 Third St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with failure to appear.

--Dewayne Williams Jr., 25, 804 Joe Louis Ave. N.W., was charged Monday with possession of marijuana, duty to obey officer and furnishing false name or date of birth.

--Tracie Ann Dabney, 46, 312 Second St. N.W., was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Kinyama Latrail Moore, 21, 377 Oak Lane, was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Roger Dale Macklin, 42, 4827 Hwy. 37 E., was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Terry Dewayne McClelland, 48, 220 Hawthorn Drive, was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Kenneth Ray Bates, 24, 195 Ruth St., was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Two female students at C.A. Gray Jr. High were charged Nov. 6 with possession of marijuana and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

A school administrator heard that the girls were trading pills for marijuana with each other.

Four suspected Adderall pills and suspected marijuana was recovered. One of the girls told school officials she had taken two of the pills.

Norman Park Police

--Thomas Tyler Noelke, 18, 1560 Old Oaks Drive, Charlottesville, Va., was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana and speeding in a work zone.

Sheriff's Office

--Kirby Dewayne Fender, 22, 114 Colquitt St., Ellenton, was charged Wednesday with failure to appear.

--Latraysha Kiell Wilson, 21, 719 Ninth St. N.W., was charged Wednesday with probation violation.

--Dennis Patrick Monday, 40, 139 Brandi Drive, was charged Wednesday with sex offender failed to report.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

--William Green, 700 block Third Avenue Southeast, reported Wednesday the theft of aluminum cans and foil valued at $15 from his back porch.

--Paul Simpson, 600 block Third Avenue Northwest, reported Wednesday that $850 worth of property was stolen in a burglary of his residence.

The stolen items included a laptop computer, Blue Tooth Bose Soundlink speaker and an unknown amount of underwear.

--Kaitlin Tinsley, 2400 block Fifth Avenue Southeast, reported Wednesday the theft of a Pioneer stereo system out of a 1997 Ford Explorer.

Battery

Moultrie Police

--Rufino Vasquez, 600 block Third Street Southwest, reported Wednesday that a female acquaintance who came to his residence at noon Wednesday hit him and grabbed him around the neck.

Vasquez told police that as the woman was walking away she picked up a rock and threw it, breaking the tail light of his brother's 1999 Ford Mustang.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

--The city of Moultrie reported Wednesday that wax, apparently from a candle, was poured on the surface of a tennis court in the 1100 block of Fifth Street Southwest.

--Wytica Gordan, 200 block Sixth Street Southwest, reported Wednesday that someone broke a window of her residence.

Other investigations

Sheriff's Office

--Plymel Foods, Inc., 800 Hwy. 133 S., reported Wednesday that a man and woman passed three bounced checks that totaled $1,238.
