GuideOne, a U.S. church insurer, said it has made several management promotions to improve coordination within the company.
Scott Reddig was named group executive vice president. He was formerly senior vice president and chief actuary. In his new role, Reddig will be in charge of actuarial, sales, claims and underwriting, said GuideOne in a statement. Reddig joined GuideOne in 1999 from Allied Insurance Group.
Mark Joos was named senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was the company's senior vice president of finance. Joos started with GuideOne in 1999 from Price Waterhouse.
Lee Pallardy, previously vice president of commercial lines, was named vice president and chief underwriter. Gilbert Korthals was named assistant vice president and chief actuary. Pallardy joined GuideOne in 2008 from Argonaut Great Central Insurance and Korthals began with GuideOne in 1988.
Jim Wallace, chairman, president and chief executive officer at GuideOne, said in a statement that the promotions "will enable us to better adapt to the changing property and casualty insurance market conditions."
According to BestLink, which provides online access to A.M. Best's Global Insurance & Banking Database, GuideOne insures more than 40,000 houses of worship across the country and is also a leading insurer of senior living communities. The company also insurers schools and colleges. All are generally affiliated with religious institutions. GuideOne also offers homeowners and automobile insurance.
GuideOne Insurance currently has a Best's Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent).
