GEICO names Howard Dickstein assistant vice president in New York region

WOODBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Howard Dickstein has been named assistant vice president in charge of claims in GEICO’sWoodbury, N.Y., office. He succeeds John Pham, who was recently promoted to regional vice president for the Woodbury office.

“Howard has strong general management skills, and has had many years of impressive results and a record of continuous improvement,” said Don Lyons, senior vice president. “His ability to create positive change makes him the ideal person to bring Woodbury claims to new heights.”

Dickstein most recently served as director of liability claims in Woodbury. He joined GEICO in 1987 as the region’s first auto damage management intern, and later held assignments as supervisor and then manager. He was selected as auto damage director for Woodbury in 2001 and served in that role until 2010.

Dickstein earned a bachelor’s degree in business, management and finance from the City University of New York (Brooklyn College) and has his Certificate in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America.
