Foresters helped raise $48 million for children’s hospitals in 2011

TORONTO, April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Life insurance provider Foresters™ helped raise more than $48 million for North American children's hospitals in 2011. All money raised went to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals®, a charity that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada.

Foresters is the founding sponsor and international underwriter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' Radiothon program. Through this program, Foresters teams up with radio stations to conduct fundraising programs for local children's hospitals. Since 1990, Foresters has helped raise almost half a billion dollars through the Radiothon program.

Foresters support ensures that funds raised during each Radiothon stay in the region to help children and their families at the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals currently engages more than 300 stations throughout North America to participate in Radiothons. Radiothon donations are used to fund research and training, purchase equipment, and help with costs for uninsured and underinsured patients.
