Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Company President Receives NAMIC Chairman’s Award

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- The National Farmers Union issued the following news release:

National Farmers Union (http://www.nfu.org/) (NFU) congratulates , president of Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Company of Arkansas, on being awarded the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) 2012 Chairman's Award. White was recently presented with the award by NAMIC's 2012 Chairman James Kennedy during NAMIC's 117th Annual Convention in Grapevine, Texas.

"Wayne has long been an effective leader in the insurance industry and a tireless advocate on Capitol Hill on critical issues that affect many of our members," said NFU President Roger Johnson. "We congratulate Wayne on his recent achievement and look forward to working closely with him in the future."

The NAMIC Chairman's Award was created to recognize leadership, accomplishment, and outstanding service to NAMIC and the property/casualty insurance industry. "I am proud to have worked with Wayne during the last year," said NFU Vice President Claudia Svarstad. "He has been a valuable asset to the Farmers Union family and this award is well-deserved."

Other awards White has received include the NAMIC Merit Award, NAMIC Service Award, the Arkansas PIA Outstanding Leadership Award, and the Insurance Education Institute Lifetime Achievement Award.
