Evanston Capital Management: Don Fehrs Gets Endowment Management Award

Evanston Capital Management reported that Don Fehrs, Principal, Risk Management and Research, is the recipient of the Rodney H. Adams Endowment Management Award.

The National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) honored Fehrs with the award at the 2014 NACUBO Annual Meeting in Seattle.

The Rodney H. Adams Endowment Management Award recognizes outstanding individual contributions to professional development activities in the area of university endowment and investment management. NACUBO established the award in memory of Rodney H. Adams, former treasurer of Stanford University, former trustee of Commonfund and past chair of the NACUBO Investment Committee.

"I am truly honored to receive the Rodney H. Adams Endowment Management Award," said Fehrs. "I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with universities' endowments, both in previous roles and at Evanston Capital Management, to seek to provide these institutions with the best opportunities possible to position them for growth and success."

In its release, the firm said Fehrs joined Evanston Capital Management in 2006. In addition to his role as Principal, Risk Management and Research, he serves as a member of the firm's Investment Committee, Operating Committee and Risk Management Committee.

Prior to joining Evanston Capital Management, Fehrs served as Chief Investment Officer, and, prior to that, as Senior Investment Officer at Cornell University, where he managed the University's investment assets, consisting of the endowment, other University funds, and accounts separately invested on behalf of donors, totaling in excess of $4 billion.

Fehrs has also previously served as a member of the finance faculty at the University of Notre Dame and later as a Senior Investment Director for Notre Dame's endowment.
