Endurance Appoints John Zachry Head of US Insurance Wholesale Operations
PEMBROKE, Bermuda, June 8, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced the appointment of John Zachry as head of Endurance's U.S. insurance wholesale operations. Mr. Zachry will expand his current responsibilities to include both property and casualty underwriting, reporting to William M. Jewett. An industry veteran, Mr. Zachry has more than thirty-eight years of experience in the insurance industry.

Mr. Zachry joined Endurance in 2004 and was promoted to President, Chief Property Officer - U.S. Operations in January 2008. Before joining Endurance, Mr. Zachry served as Senior Vice President – Property of Great American Custom Insurance Services, Inc. from 1993 to 2004. Prior to his tenure at Great American, he was Vice-President and Branch Manager of Cravens Dargan (Cigna E&S) in Los Angeles and Vice-President of Excess Underwriting nationwide for Transamerica Insurance Company. He began his insurance career with the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. Mr. Zachry is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a B.B.A. Degree in Business Administration.
