EK Health Hires Sherry Busbee, Noted Workers’ Comp Executive, As Director of Case Management, Eastern Region

SAN JOSE, Calif. & MEMPHIS, Tennessee--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- EK Health Services, Inc., a leading national workers’ compensation managed care company, announced today that Sherry Busbee, noted workers’ compensation industry executive, has been hired as Director of Case Management, Eastern Region.

Based in Memphis, Busbee is responsible for developing and maintaining EK Health’s case management services and clients in the Eastern U.S., including the operations and functions of EK Health’s nurse case management staff of field case managers and telephonic case managers.

Immediate past president of Case Management Society of America, Busbee is a Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM). She is an original member and past president of the Mid-South Workers Compensation Association (MSWCA).

With over 20 years’ experience in workers' compensation and disability benefits management, Busbee most recently served as national account executive for a leading medical case management and bill review services company.

After receiving her nursing education at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Busbee became a staff nurse at Memphis’ Methodist Hospital System, advancing into nursing education with responsibly for clinical instruction of nursing students at hospitals throughout the Memphis area.

She later joined Intracorp, where she rose through the ranks from field case manager to director, and regional sales and account manager. While at Intracorp, she was the on-site disability management consultant for a renowned company that provides transportation, e-commerce and business services throughout the world.

Busbee resides in Collierville, TN.
