Daman urges customers to renew their expired health insurance policies before the amnesty period
Abu Dhabi,17th July 2010 /WAM/: The National Health Insurance Company /Daman/, the leading health insurance company in the region, is reminding its customers that the amnesty period given regarding the renewal of health insurance policies or subscription to a new health insurance policy is to end on July 27th.
On May 27th, circular number 36 was issued by the Health Authority- Abu Dhabi /HAAD/ - announcing a two month amnesty period, ending on July 27th 2010, for health insurance policy holders who were unable to subscribe for health insurance or renew their policies on time. During this amnesty period, all those without valid health insurance coverage will be able to correct their status without incurring a fine.
To effectively cater to the increase in number of members during the amnesty period, Daman has introduced an extra working day /Saturday/ and has extended its working hours at its branches until 8 pm.
Customers can visit Daman branches from 8 am until 8 pm from Saturday to Thursday at the following locations: Central Branch /Airport road/, Mussafah Branch, and Al Ain Main Branch.
