Craig Merkt Joins FactRight as Vice President, Business Development

CHICAGO, June 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FactRight LLC, a premier provider of third party due diligence and risk management services to the alternative investment industry, announced today that Craig Merkt has joined the company as vice president, business development.

Merkt joins FactRight with more than 20 years of experience in new business development, sales, and as a practicing attorney. He previously spent six years in the 401(k) industry with Sentry Insurance, where he managed a group of 20 producers ultimately as Midwest regional sales and marketing manager. While with the firm, he averaged approximately $25 million in new business each year, managed a book of more than $120 million in total assets and helped grow business throughout his sales region.

Prior to Sentry, Merkt spent three years with Northwestern Mutual, where he was awarded New Financial Representative of the Year in 2004. He began his career in 1991, and quickly established himself as a successful professional, managing more than $10 million in annual aftermarket sales with P&H Mining Equipment.

Merkt earned a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University, a juris doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law, and a master's degree in international law from the University of Bristol, England.
