Corporate Synergies Group Names John A. Turner CEO

MT. LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Corporate Synergies Group, a national, independent benefits broker and consulting firm with a strong footprint in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, announced today that it has named John A. Turner as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He will be based in the company’s Mt. Laurel headquarters.

The announcement was made by Pantelis A. “Pete” Georgiadis, chairman of the board of Corporate Synergies, who noted, “John’s strong background in client satisfaction and business growth will be a tremendous asset to Corporate Synergies as we continue to expand. He is a seasoned professional with exceptional operational skills – and a track record of building high-impact client service driven organizations. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Turner is an insurance industry veteran with broad experience from working with health benefits carriers, brokers and business services. He has a known track record of increasing growth, client satisfaction and building the long term capacity of a services organization. Prior to joining Corporate Synergies, Turner was senior vice president of the health services division at Connextions, Inc., an innovative provider of customer acquisition and retention programs for the health insurance industry where he increased revenues 130 percent through new client acquisition and organic growth.

Turner was also credited with leading a successful turnaround of the J. Rolfe Davis Insurance Company a 65-year-old, multi-line insurance brokerage firm, as its president. Additionally, he has served as national vice president of enterprise solutions and regional vice-president for United Healthcare, and director at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida in Orlando.

Born in New Jersey, Turner began his career in the New York and New Jersey markets, taking on progressively higher responsibility sales roles with Cigna Healthcare, Prudential Healthcare and Healthnet.

Turner holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of public administration degree from Kean University in New Jersey and a master of business administration from Regis University in Denver, Colo.
