"House Republicans have chosen to spend our last legislative week before an undeserved five-week break on a dangerous political gimmick rather than working on the priorities of Michiganders and the American people," Congressman Kildee said. "Instead of taking up legislation that I've introduced or cosponsored to create jobs and jumpstart the middle class, we're about to leave town for five weeks of undeserved time off. That's shameful, wrong and in complete disregard for the priorities of my constituents, who work hard every day and expect their elected officials to do the same."
