COMBINED SYNOPSIS/ SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS (IAW FAR 12.603 (c)). (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is N6889814RCBG845 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The RFQ format is attached to this combination solicitation synopsis that will used to submit quotes.
(iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-76 dated
(iv) This acquisition is being solicited on an unrestricted basis.
(v) Contractor shall submit a quote utilizing the attached pricing worksheet for delivery, removal, and replacement of cation deionizers, anion deionizers, and mixed-bed deionizers in an existing pure water purification system at Joint Base Charleston -
(vi) The contractor will be responsible for providing approximately 450 replacement deionizers for an existing pure water purification system containing two parallel sets of cation, anion, and mixed-bed deionizer tanks, each capable of providing 60K gallons (minimum) of pure water before replacement (regeneration).
Notes:
* The quantities are estimates only. Payment will be made based on actual units ordered and installed. * The exact water quality is unknown. The potable water is provided by the local water utility service provider. * A post sediment kit is not required. * The 2.1 cu ft each, fiberglass, deionizer resin bottles (tanks) are skid mounted. The first skid contains 10 tanks, 5 each cation resin tanks and 5 each anion resin tanks. The other skid contains 6 each mixed bed (H-OH) resin bottles. These two skids must produce 60k gallons between regenerations. * The water treatment process includes an activated carbon bed.

The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in the following relative order of importance: Price. The Government will evaluate the total price of the offer for the award purposes. The Government will award a contract to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer.
(x) All offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Item or complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management http://www.sam.gov
