Claggett & Sykes Law Firm Obtain Binding Arbitration Award Against American Family Insurance

PR Web

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 08, 2013

Claggett & the Sykes Law Firm is proud to announce that it has obtained a binding arbitration award against American Family Insurance.

The award stems from a lawsuit filed on behalf of a Claggett & Sykes client in which it was alleged American Family Insurance breached the contract with the insured. According to attorney Sean Claggett, American Family Insurance failed to honor a $100,000 policy for his client, never offering to pay more than $15,000 in compensation, despite more than $50,000 in medical expenses incurred.

“When insurance companies engage in unfair practices, as defined by NRS 686A.310, the person who paid the insurance company has the right to hold the insurance company accountable,” Claggett said. “Our firm takes great pride in holding insurance companies accountable when they engage in unfair practices.”

The arbitrator awarded Claggett’s client $213,617 after years of litigation.

The latest victory for Claggett & Sykes is just one of a long line of lawsuits successfully settled by the firm for its clients. The firm is known for diligently handling cases and delving into each one as it prepares to take any claim to trial if that is what is necessary to achieve fair compensation for its clients. The firm prides itself on having superior knowledge and understanding of clients’ injuries and the medical treatment necessary for their best possible recovery.

Claggett & Sykes takes on all kinds of cases involving injury or death resulting from the negligence of others. In addition to cases that involve such things as car accidents (http://www.lasvegasnevadacaraccident.com), slip and falls, and other incidents, the firm will also represent families of people who have been injured or killed due to defective products.

The Las Vegas-based firm has earned an excellent reputation in the region by showing unwavering commitment to its clients and the community. In addition to its proven track record in a court of law, the firm is also involved in numerous charitable events, donating proceeds from representing injured people to various organizations and academic institutions.
