CCC Information Services and ServicePower Team Up to Bring Scheduling and Dispatch Tools to the Automotive Claims Industry

CCC to integrate ServicePower’s optimized scheduling technology into its Web-based claim management solution
Chicago, IL and Annapolis, MD, May 3, 2005 -- CCC Information Services Inc. (CCC), a subsidiary of CCC Information Services Group Inc. (Nasdaq: CCCG), and ServicePower (LSE: SVR), a global developer and supplier of workforce optimization software for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market, today announced a strategic relationship whereby CCC will be the exclusive reseller of SERVICEPower scheduling solutions to the U.S. automotive insurance and collision-repair markets. CCC, a leading supplier of information technology software and services to the automotive-claims and collision-repair industries, will also integrate the SERVICEPower scheduling capability into its CCC Autoverse® Claim Management solution and will supply, implement, and support the combined solution for the automotive-claims industry. CCC will offer this enhanced scheduling capability through both a hosted application and traditional license sales.
Due to the large number of appraisers in most insurance companies, any improvements in their individual efficiency are going to result in significant cost benefits. By way of example, one large, U.S.-based insurance company, increased field productivity in their claims processing operation by approximately 28% (from 3.5 to 4.5 appraisals per appraiser per day) after deploying ServicePower’s advanced scheduling technology. In addition, this company was able to identify the potential for even further productivity gains.
"Our software is not only designed with field service organizations in mind, but also with an understanding that other businesses, including insurance, struggle with dispatching and scheduling activities," commented Ian MacKinnon, president of ServicePower. "To address this growing market, we felt we needed to work with a company that thoroughly understands the challenges facing insurers. By combining technologies with CCC, we will help insurance carriers streamline the claims handling process, improve communication with their insured, and manage their field force of appraisers and repair shops more efficiently."
"At CCC, we are constantly seeking ways to help our customers improve their business," said Carole Comstock , vice president of product management and marketing at CCC. "By integrating ServicePower’s technology with CCC Autoverse, insurers can more quickly and accurately dispatch and schedule the necessary resources. Customers utilizing this combined technology can gain tremendous efficiencies and better serve their customers."
