Best in Biz: Stewart Information Services CEO Matt Morris Tapped as Executive of the Year
| Proquest LLC |
"It is gratifying to be honored by such respected business reporters and analysts for the transformation Stewart has made over the last several years," said Morris, in a release. "With the support of an incredible team of associates at Stewart, we have modified our organizational structure and business processes to embrace a more unified, customer-centric business model and improve company performance."
Since taking on the role of CEO in 2011, Morris has led the 120- year old company through a major transition. Morris' efforts to unify the company and create a culture focused on customer satisfaction and integrity paid off in 2012, which became Stewart's most profitable year since the real estate downturn. In addition to improving profitability, Morris' strong focus on customer service also drove a 96 percent overall customer satisfaction rate from real estate professionals and lenders in 2012.
Winners of Best in Biz Awards 2013 were determined by an independent panel of 50 judges from top-tier news, business and technology publications, as well as broadcast outlets and analyst firms. Honors were presented in more than 50 categories including Company of the Year, Best Place to Work and Executive of the year.
