B&B Protector Plans to Hold HIPPAA HITECH Compliance Semiar at Headquarters

B&B Protector Plans, Inc., which (within its Professional Services Plans division) specializes in professional liability insurance to healthcare professionals, is currently expanding their service by offering a complimentary HIPAA HITECH Compliance Seminar. The event is being held on Thursday, April 25th, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Franklin Exchange Building in Tampa, Florida. This seminar continues the ongoing efforts of B&B Protector Plans to offer integrated insurance solutions to the healthcare community of Florida.

The HIPAA HITECH Compliance seminar will demonstrate how to avoid penalties and help you be prepared for the HIPPA HITECH compliance date on September 23, 2013. The speaker, William Ewy, is the ePlace Solutions, Inc. Privacy and Security Practice Manager. ePlace Solutions provides the risk management service included with Beazley cyber insurance policies. Prior to joining ePlace Solutions, William held a variety of management positions in marketing, quality, IT and privacy with Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies in the US, Hong Kong and Beijing.William Ewy, BSEE, CIPP/US will be providing an introduction to HIPAA HITECH and speaking on the risks associated with PHI and/or PI. He will also be able to answer questions concerning the HIPAA HITECH final ruling of March 26, 2013.
