Aviva And Multichoice Marketing Group Release IncomeXtraSM

A 10% Premium Bonus – 10-Year Withdrawal Charge Fixed Indexed Annuity

Panora, Iowa-February, 2008 – Aviva and MultiChoice Marketing Group, a national leader in annuity product development and marketing, are excited to announce the release of IncomeXtraSM a 10% Premium Bonus, 10-Year fixed indexed annuity. IncomeXtraSM will be released for sale in select states on February 15, 2008. IncomeXtraSM aims to be one of the most competitive high bonus products in the industry.

IncomeXtraSM credits an immediate 10% premium bonus on all premiums applied in the first and second contract years. For a policy issued with an initial premium of $100,000, the client’s value will be $110,000 on day one. The 10% premium bonus is fully vested upon death, free withdrawal amounts, and under the confinement, home health care and terminal illness waivers and the bonus is only recaptured in the event that a client takes withdrawals in excess of these free amounts for the first ten contract years.

“We are looking forward to IncomeXtraSM providing the agents a solid 10% premium bonus product with great liquidity options for their clients. It is important to note that this is not a two tiered annuity,” stated Randy Timm , Vice President of Product Development for MultiChoice Marketing Group. “We feel that the IncomeXtraSM will be a great option for clients looking to increase their retirement assets.”

IncomeXtraSM will offer all of the same excellent liquidity features as the existing Aviva MultiChoice Income Annuity series options, including: 10% Free Withdrawal with checkbook access in year one; 20% cumulative withdrawals starting in year two; and waivers for nursing home or hospital confinement, terminal illness and home health care services available after the first year—all with no age restrictions.

The MultiChoice Annuity Series also provides a Guaranteed Purchase Option where the client can receive a 10% income bonus based on any remaining first year premium and premium bonus after the 10th year if they initiate a payout for at least 10 years. With this feature, the clients have an opportunity to gain a 10% upfront premium bonus and an additional 10% income bonus after 10 years.

IncomeXtraSM, when paired with the LifetimePaySM income rider, has the ability provide clients a stream of income for life. LifetimePaySM is a rider available with the popular MultiChoice Annuity Income Series that guarantees clients lifetime income without giving up control of principal.

When LifetimePaySM is added to IncomeXtraSM, clients receive an Income Account Value that multiples the initial premium by 105% for funds allocated to the indexed strategies. For example, a $100,000 initial premium would receive the immediate 10% premium bonus and when LifetimePaySM is purchased, the $110,000 is credited at 105% in the Income Account Value for indexed strategies to equal 115.5% of the initial premium, helping to boost retirement assets to $115,500 on day one. Unlike some competitors that make you wait for 10 years to take your income, with LifetimePaySM clients age 50 or older can access the $115,500 immediately providing guaranteed lifetime income on that amount without requiring
annuitization.

“With Variable Annuities having their fifth straight year of record sales, we look forward to adding  IncomeXtraSM to our MultiChoice Income Series. We feel that IncomeXtraSM will be a valuable tool for agents,” stated Timm. “Third quarter sales for Aviva MultiChoice were up 43 percent in 2007 compared to the third quarter of 2006 and we are looking forward to that number only increasing with the release of the IncomeXtraSM.”

MultiChoice Marketing Group is the marketing organization that helped develop and market the MultiChoice products. The Aviva MultiChoice IncomePlusSM is the number four selling fixed indexed annuity in the U.S. Aviva is the number two seller of fixed indexed annuities(1).

LifetimePaySM [MCAIR (Rev.9/07) or state variation], an optional Rider for which an annual Premium is charged, and the IncomeXtraSM [MCIX (01/08) or state variation] are issued by Aviva Life and Annuity Company, Des Moines, IA. Product features, limitations and availability vary by State. Bonus annuities may include lower caps, higher spreads or other restrictions that are not included in similar annuities that don't offer a Premium Bonus feature.

Withdrawals in excess of the free amount are not credited with index interest for that term and are subject to Withdrawal Charges and Premium Bonus Recapture Charges, which are imposed retroactively if the Contract is surrendered within 12 months of a Free Withdrawal.
