The American College Names Charles T. Cronin III, CLU®, Vice President of the Advancement Division

BRYN MAWR, PA – February 15, 2008 - Charles “Tip” Cronin III, CLU®, has been named Vice President of the Advancement Division at The American College.
In this position, Cronin will be a member of the senior management team and responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to The College and the advancement division while building relationships with key constituents, developing voluntary support, and fulfilling institutional stewardship of contributed resources.
Dr. Larry Barton, Ph.D., President, and Chief Executive Officer of The American College said, “We are delighted to have someone with Tip’s significant industry experience leading our advancement efforts. Cronin has over 34 years of combined home office and field experience in the life insurance/financial services industry. Prior to joining The American College, Cronin had a successful career at Provident Mutual where he rose through the ranks holding the positions of Manager, Regional Vice President, and Senior Vice President of Agencies. In 2000, following his career at Provident Mutual, Cronin became a successful entrepreneur as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the newly formed Company- - eMoney Advisor.

Cronin attended Loyola College from 1961 to 1963, and later received his BS in Marketing, from The University of Baltimore, in 1965. He then participated in the Executive Development program at The Wharton School through the University of Pennsylvania in 1980. Cronin later earned his Chartered Life Underwriter, (CLU®) from The American College in 1983
