AMALGAMATED LIFE INSURANCE RECEIVES “A” RATING FOR THE 34th YEAR
New York, NY (June 9th, 2009) . . . For the 34th consecutive year A.M. Best Company has rated Amalgamated Life Insurance Company “A” (Excellent).
According to A.M. Best, “the rating assigned to Amalgamated Life Insurance Company (Amalgamated Life) reflects the Company’s niche position in the labor union marketplace, its favorable statutory operating results, as well as its solid risk-adjusted capital position.”
“Given the current economic times, an “A” rating from A.M. Best is an even stronger endorsement of the Company’s financial soundness, the security we provide our customers and the overall quality of our Company and our products,” said David Walsh, President and CEO at Amalgamated Life.
