After 76 years, Spartanburg, SC Firm is Changing

Walker Walker Higgins, LLC recently changed their name to Walker, Higgins & Associates, LLC. Further, Walker Walker Higgins Wealth Management, LLC has become Walker, Higgins & Associates Wealth Management, LLC. With the name change, partners Lem Walker and Rick Higgins are also announcing a new website (http://www.whafinancial.com) and a new look. Higgins says, “As we continue to grow and add additional folks to our team, it’s important that our culture reflects our history, but also our serious efforts to serve our clients.”

The roots of the organization were formed by Perrin Dargan when he started his insurance office through Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1937. Hacky Walker joined in 1951, adding Employee Benefits expertise. Twenty years later, his son, Lem, joined him, and they merged with Higgins & Associates in 1995. Now known as Walker, Higgins & Associates, the firm provides services that include Wealth Management, Employee Benefits, and Insurance.

The new website not only provides a glimpse into the firm and their services, but also provides a great deal of useful content for those who want to take a more active role in managing their personal finances.

More specifically, Walker, Higgins & Associates Wealth Management offers financial and retirement planning, portfolio management, investment securities, and employer sponsored 401 (K) plans. Walker, Higgins & Associates offers Employee Benefit Services that includes group medical, dental, life, and disability insurance as well as voluntary programs and health savings accounts. Walker, Higgins & Associates also offers life, disability, and long term care insurance as well as estate planning services.
