A.M. Best to Host Inaugural Thailand Seminar [Professional Services Close – Up]

A.M. Best Co. will hold its first Thailand Seminar-"Thailand Insurance Market: Towards a New Era"-on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Siam Kempinski Hotel in Bangkok, from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

The seminar will be co-hosted with the Thailand General Insurance Association.

A.M. Best executives, Dr Roger Sellek, CEO, EMEA & Asia-Pacific, and Ms Susanna Lam, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, will host the seminar.

Mr Pravej Ongartsittigu, Secretary General, Office of Insurance Commission, will give the opening address.

Thailand, in common with other Southeast Asian countries, is experiencing major developments in its insurance market. The implementation of a risk-based capital framework in 2011 brought benefits to the industry by strengthening risk management, improving financial transparency and ensuring better risk returns.
