"Americans are suffering financially because their advisors are giving them bad advice or simply not disclosing important information," DeFrancesco said. According to DeFrancesco, most financial advisors are more concerned about selling their clients a product or service than they are about helping them achieve financial goals.
"This self-serving approach is very detrimental," DeFrancesco said. "Many advisors are putting Americans' finances at risk and forcing more people to postpone their retirement or seek work during their retirement years."
