$4 Million Available in Cooperative Agreements for Crop Insurance Education

WASHINGTON, May 15 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it expects to award up to 200 cooperative agreements for crop insurance education and risk management training to U.S. agricultural producers.

The estimated total program funding available was cited as $4 million.

This funding opportunity is open to state, county, city, township and special district governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; institutions of higher education; Historically Black Colleges and Universities; Tribally-Controlled Colleges and Universities; non-profits; for-profits; small businesses; eligible agencies of the federal government; and faith-based or community organizations.

The funding opportunity number is USDA-PP-RMED-2017 (CFDA 10.460). It was posted on May 11 with an application closing date of July 10.
