2 Sherman businesses struck by vehicles

"Evidence gathered on scene tied him back to the vehicle," Mullen said. "He was ultimately found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DWI, hit and run and possession of a controlled substance -- methamphetamine."
It was unclear whether anyone was inside the business at the time of the crash, but Mullen said no injuries were reported. Mullen said officers also determined the crashed truck was previously reported stolen and the incident remains under investigation.
Several hours later, dispatchers fielded their second report of a vehicle colliding with a building. Mullen said officers responded to a
"They pulled into the parking lot and as they were getting into a space, and basically jumped the curb and drove into the building," Mullen said.
One person inside the building sustained minor injuries, but was not transported for treatment, Mullen said.
