Rona Guymon has been selected to lead annuity distribution for Nationwide, the insurer announced in a news release.
In this role, Guymon is responsible for distributing commission- and fee-based annuities across all channels, including broker/dealers, wires, banks, IMOs, registered investment advisors, technology platforms and other partners.
Rona fills the position which opened when Craig Hawley switched roles to lead Nationwide’s Retirement Solutions Distribution team earlier this month.
With a distinguished career spanning over 24 years, Guymon is a seasoned financial services professional committed to creating greater value for financial professionals and their practice, the release said. In her previous role as leader of Nationwide’s brokerage annuity distribution, Guymon implemented significant structural changes, leading the team to help deliver best-in-class efficiency, while exceeding sales goals by a wide margin.
“This is great news for Rona and Nationwide,” said Eric Henderson, president of Nationwide Annuity. “Her proven leadership and relentless drive will help us elevate a high-performing team, positioning it and our distribution partners for even greater success.”
Guymon holds the Certified Retirement Counselor designation and is also Series 7, 63, 24, Variable Life & Annuity and Arizona Life Insurance licensed.
Nationwide is a top 10 seller of annuity products in the United States and was recently recognized by J.D. Power for outstanding customer satisfaction.
