Pacific Life Announces Sales Manager Changes
By Cyril Tuohy
Pacific Life has announced three personnel changes affecting sales in the company’s Retirement Solutions Division (RSD) as the unit broadens its sales strategy beyond variable annuities.
The latest changes come in the wake of wide-ranging management moves announced last month.
"Providing our distribution partners with exceptional products, sales support and service is our number one goal," Chris van Mierlo, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of sales for RSD, said in a news release. “To do that, we constantly take stock of the environment, our distributors' needs and assess how we can best help them grow their businesses and serve clients.”
The new sales structure, van Mierlo also said, “will keep the momentum going for an even longer time to come."
Stuart Holland was promoted to the newly created position of vice president, retail sales. Holland is responsible for managing sales of variable annuities, fixed annuities and mutual fund products in all three of the division’s retail distribution channels.
He will also be responsible for managing RSD’s mutual funds field resources, national sales managers, internal sales desk and retirement plan consultants, the company said.
Previously focused almost entirely on variable annuities, RSD has become a provider of a variety of variable annuities, fixed annuities and retail mutual funds.
Pacific Life also said that George Paulik had taken over responsibilities as national sales manager for the company’s independent planners channel, and that Mike Miranne had been promoted to the position vacated by Paulik as national sales manager for the financial institutions channel. In addition, Tom Marks was promoted to regional sales manager for the financial institutions channel.
John White also has the new role of vice president, sales support, with responsibilities that include national accounts, broker/dealer services, conference planning, sales training and sales reporting.
Pacific Life announced personnel changes to RDS.
Patrick Bortmann was promoted to assistant vice president, e-commerce; Geoff Kissel to the position of assistant vice president, institutional sales; Destiny Lara to the position of assistant vice president, ISP product development, and Clive Plumb to assistant vice president, digital marketing.
In addition, Pacific Life announced personnel changes in its Life Insurance Division.
Christian Berke was promoted to assistant vice president, database management; Sarah Jarvis to the position of assistant vice president, compliance, and Edmund Johnson to the position of assistant vice president of (technical) architecture.
