Shark Points

NAILBA 40 opened Monday afternoon with an entertaining talk by Daymond John, businessman, investor, television personality, author, and motivational speaker. He is best known as the founder, president, and chief executive officer of FUBU, and appears as an investor on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank.

John shared tales from his rise to the top, and gave his six “Shark Points" for success:

1. Set goals: you can not hit a target that you can not see.
2. Do your homework: mistakes are certain if you're not doing your homework.
3. Motto: We love what we do and we must love our customer.
4. Never forget that YOU are the brand.
5. You must learn how to pitch.
6. You must keep swimming.
